Mr. Farmer is a graduate from Pymatuning Valley. Mr. Farmer is currently pursuing a degree in Political Science from American Military University. Mr. Farmer started his career in many different blue-collar industries. Besides becoming an agent with Smith Family Insurance Centre, Mr. Farmer is also the owner-operator of Farmer Bail Bonds located in Ashtabula, Ohio.

Mr. Farmer was enlisted in the Ohio Military Reserve for two years. In 2017 Mr. Farmer left the Ohio Military Reserve to join the Selective Service System as an appointed local board member. Mr. Farmer was Nominated by Gov. John Kasich and appointed by the Director of the Selective Service on behalf of the President and currently still serves.
